Twas in the deep midwinter!

Not a lot to report from the lakes at the moment with both Mesters and Alderfen being frozen this past week. Member Tom Morrison took advantage of the quieter banks to do a bit of photography and videography for a client. Whilst he was there he had a good look at the new otter fence, over a mile and a half of fencing, a 2 year project recently completed to protect the fishery. Deciding to take a bit of aerial drone footage he was gobsmacked to see a large number of the lakes carp basking on the shallows under the ice, take a look for yourselves! We can only surmise that the sunshine through the ice was giving the same effects as it does in a greenhouse on a cold day, absolute masters of their own environment!
